Kurban

İnsan ile hayvan arasındaki felsefî sınır beni giderek daha fazla ilgilendirmiştir; bu aynı zamanda, kültür ile doğa arasındaki geleneksel sınırı da masaya yatırmak anlamına geliyor. Bu meseleyi, hümanizmi en derinlemesine sorgulamış iki düşünür üzerinden irdelemeyi seçtim: Heidegger ve Lévinas. İkisi de, geleneksel özne kavramını eleştirseler de, insanlar ile hayvanlar arasında mutlak bir ayrım olduğunu savunmaları bakımından hümanisttirler. İnsanın ayrıcalıklı konumunun tesis edilmesi için hayvanların kurban/feda edilmesi ve yenmesi gerekir. Lévinas bile, kurbanı feda etmeye razı değildir.
